Description
This beautifully restored, 17th century farmhouse is a unique place to relax, with woodland on one side and centuries old olive groves on the other. For bird watching enthusiasts it is a positive haven of tranquility to enjoy spotting the many varieties of birds visiting these warm, southern climes.
The delightful town of Cisternino, situated just ten minutes from the property, recently won an award for the best kept small town in Italy. An old historic centre with winding narrow alleys and arches which pass under small, whitewashed houses leading to quiet piazzas. Balconies are decorated with a jumble of attractive terracotta pots and geraniums.
Just south of the Valle D’itria is the ancient port of Taranto. The museo nazionale has a fascinating collection of Greek and Roman artefacts which give an insight into the history of the area.
At Podere Antica there is a beautiful wood with meandering footpaths. Bikes are available at the property. There is an independent Trullo and in the main building there are three apartments. All apartments have an oven, cooking hob, fridge and a Satelite television. The apartments are furnished in a modern, country style.

The trullo is located next to the farmhouse. It has a furnished terrace. Entrance into a dining room/kitchen (Cooking hob,oven and fridge) with an open fireplace. Toilet/shower room. One double bedroom.

Apartment 1 (sleeps 4/5) Ground floor. Spacious living/dining room with a kitchen corner. One double bedroom, with doors to outside patio area by the pool. One bedroom, with three single beds. (Two single beds can be converted into a double) Bathroom, with bath and shower.
Apartment 2 (sleeps 2/4)Ground floor. Entrance into a living/dining room, with double sofa-bed. Separate kitchen. One double bedroom. Bathroom with bath and shower.
Apartment 3 (sleeps 2) On the ground floor, comprising kitchen/dining room. One double bedroom with an additional single sofa bed. Shower room.
