Description
Casa Della Collina opened in 2005 and is a country farmhouse which is situated in the grounds of a Tuscan castle which produces wine. The friendly owners arrange wine tasting and it is possible to visit the castle's own wine cellars which are very famous in the area and are 18 metres deep! On request you can visit the castle and it is especially beautiful by night. Treasure hunts, archery and orienteering in the adjacent woodland are all available upon request.
There are 7 apartments, with wonderful views overlooking the woods and spectacular views of the valley. They are all very well equipped with Sat TV, DVD, fans, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee maker, tv/phone monitor for electric gates. Each apartment also has a safety deposit box. There are free bicycles for guests. Just off the reception area (this was once a hayloft) they have a fully equipped gym free for guests. There is a further apartment in the castle itself, Apartment Gelsomino.
Each apartment has its own private sitting out area with tables and chairs. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and drier for guest's use (detergent provided, small local charge).
The property is in an ideal location between Pisa and Florence and is very well located for touring the area. There is a train station at 5 km and from here you can hop on a train to Florence centre (which takes about 15-20 minutes).
Swimming pool size : 8 metres x 5 metres
Apartments Violetta, Ciclamino & Mimosa have superb views over the hills. Apartment Mimosa is on the end and the closest apartment to the castle.
Apartments Ortensia, Girasole & Primula have wonderful views of the woods.
Apartment Gelsomino is the apartment in the castle.
Primula - extra large - Covered, fully equipped loggia for dining "al fresco" and a lawned area in front of the apartment; Steps lead to accommodation on the first floor. Three spacious double bedrooms. Two bathrooms with showers. Kitchen/living area with a large open fireplace. (cooking hob, microwave, fridge/freezer), TV.
