Description
Trullo PU151 is a beautifully restored trullo surrounded by 1½ hectares of olive groves and orchards. This large trullo has an enormous, traditionally positioned Mimosa Tree in front of the main door infusing the evening springtime air with the most delicate fragrance.
It retains many original features, including an original stone floor, all skillfully enhanced by local award winning craftsmen to create a most appealing and comfortable place to stay.
Entrance into the trullo is via the main well-lit driveway and, through remote controlled gates, there is ample parking. The grounds have ages old palm trees and a huge old cypress tree with its strategically placed hammock beckoning beneath. To the side of the trullo is the superb 15 metres freshwater swimming pool, glistening with turquoise Venetian glass mosaic tiles and surrounded by wooden decking and a stone patio.(approx pool size 15m x 5m - depth 0.9m – 1.3m) and nearby an outdoor shower.
The extra roomy main bedroom has double doors which open directly out on to the large, local stone patio. Bedroom two is a twin bedroom. The stylish interior has partial air conditioning and full central heating and has been furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new by the designer owner who has paid attention to every detail including beautiful patchwork quilts and lace tablecloths. The trullo has a very well equipped retro style kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and this stylish trullo is rounded off with an unusually large, wheelchair friendly, circular shower room tiled in local stone mosaic tiles and with marble countertops. Outside there is a utility room with another fridge/freezer. There is also a wood burning stove at the trullo.
PLEASE NOTE - SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS TRULLO
A chef can be arranged for one or more nights however, there is a restaurant approx 30 minutes walk from the trullo.
This property can be booked along with its "sister" trulli 80 metres away - Trullo PU152 and also Trullo PU153 150 metres away (on our website) - ideal for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, family reunions.
The Caretaker - Anna-Maria is available to assist guests with arranging cookery lessons, meal preparation, bicycle hire, baby-sitting, extra cleaning, these services are chargeable and Anna-Maria can advise you upon request.
Baby pack available - Cot/highchair provided at no additional charge. Also shopping service available to purchase items for your baby for when you arrive.

Electricity up to the value of 50 euros is included in the price of the trullo. Consumption over this amount is charged according to a meter reading at 0.35 euros per kw. |
